The new model is priced at €459
DJI has unveiled the Avata 360 drone, which features a dual-lens setup paired with square 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors. Each sensor uses comparatively large 2.4 µm pixels, intended to improve results in challenging lighting.
Camera and recording modes on the DJI Avata 360
According to DJI, the drone can capture photos up to 120 MP and record 8K HDR video at 60 fps when shooting in full 360-degree view. There is also a single-lens mode for more conventional recording, offering 4K at 60 fps.
360-degree capture and flight features
Because the drone records everything around it, you can reframe the shot afterwards, pick alternative angles, or even produce multiple videos from a single flight. DJI also includes its familiar flight-control technologies. The Avata 360 uses the O4+ transmission system, providing a 1080p live feed at 60 fps with a claimed range of up to 20 km. The drone also includes intelligent omnidirectional obstacle detection, designed to make piloting easier, particularly in confined spaces. Features such as ActiveTrack 360° and Spotlight Free are included.
Storage, connectivity, battery life and weight
If the front lens is damaged, it can be replaced. The drone comes with 42 GB of built-in storage, and Wi‑Fi 6 is used to speed up file transfers. DJI lists flight time at up to 23 minutes, while the drone’s weight is approximately 455 g.
The price is about £409 or €459.
