Afonso on the Alive stage during Zara Larsson
After thumping their chests and bellowing "uga uga", the little men turned to Afonso and saw the unthinkable: a kid climbing on to the Alive stage during Zara Larsson’s set, wearing denim shorts, a white T-shirt and a belt hung with half a dozen little figurines.
The "uga uga" crowd and the message they sent
As if that weren’t enough, he swayed his hips and danced like there was no tomorrow. Scandalous. Everyone knows a “real man” doesn’t move his hips. After a loud burp and another "uga uga", the little men stared at their keyboards for long minutes and then typed to Afonso: "Be a man".
A world as big, bright and rhythmic as Afonso chooses
Poor things. Back in their cave-so dark and so miserable-the little men haven’t realised the world can be as big as Afonso wants it to be. As colourful as he wants, and set to whatever rhythm he decides. Afonso is living, learning and growing. But inside the pea-sized stupidity where the little men sit, time stands still. Uga uga.
