Santander is accepting applications until 13 July for the Bootcamp Universia 2026 – First Steps in Power BI. The programme is offering 10,000 free places for anyone looking to start out in technology and data analysis, or to build on existing skills in the field.
Delivered through the Santander Open Academy platform, in partnership with Universia and DIO (Digital Innovation One), the course is fully online. It runs for three months with a total study load of 60 hours, and registration is available via the Bootcamp Universia website.
Who can apply to the Santander Bootcamp Universia 2026
The training is aimed at beginners, students, career changers and people interested in areas such as artificial intelligence and data analysis. There is no requirement for prior knowledge, and you do not need to be a Santander customer to take part.
How the online course works
The bootcamp is designed to introduce the basics of Business Intelligence while building practical capability using tools commonly found in the workplace, including Power BI, SQL, DAX, MySQL, Azure and generative artificial intelligence resources.
Participants will also be able to join live mentoring sessions and will receive a certificate on completion of the programme.

The syllabus covers Business Intelligence principles; an introduction to generative artificial intelligence; machine learning and large language models (LLMs); data analysis and modelling; building dashboards in Power BI; using DAX to create metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs); integration with MySQL and Azure; data storytelling; and a final project focused on developing a management dashboard.
According to the organisers, the aim is to broaden access to technology training and prepare professionals to work in Business Intelligence, while also bringing participants closer to employability opportunities.
Universia, which partners on the initiative, is a platform for students and recent graduates. It brings together job and internship listings, tools for CV creation supported by artificial intelligence, and resources for assessing digital skills. The network also links universities and higher education institutions across countries in the Ibero-American region.
