Anthropic has just announced a significant upgrade to Claude Cowork, one of its flagship tools for automating everyday office tasks on a computer. With the arrival of Claude Dispatch, this AI agent can now be accessed remotely through Anthropic’s mobile app.
Following Claude Cowork, Anthropic is rolling out a new capability called Claude Dispatch, designed to make working with AI even more straightforward. As a reminder, Claude Cowork is a computer-based AI agent that can automate office work such as producing a daily briefing, carrying out market research, or drafting documents related to legal procedures.

Claude Cowork is not only highly capable; it also benefits from being able to connect to the tools and data it needs directly on the user’s computer. In addition, plug-ins make it possible to tailor Claude Cowork to very specific fields and use cases.
Claude’s powerful AI becomes available remotely
With Claude Dispatch, the feature becomes even more practical. This update means you can assign tasks to Claude Cowork while away from your desk, using Anthropic’s mobile app. “Everything Claude can do on your computer (files, browser, tools) is available wherever you are,” an Anthropic employee explained on the social network X. For this to work, however, the PC or Mac must remain switched on and continuously connected.
In practical terms, this makes it possible to hand work to Claude Cowork even when you are not in the office. For example, someone could send a request to the AI from their smartphone while travelling to work, then continue on their computer once they arrive.
A feature still in development, but already promising
The key change, then, is that Claude Cowork-one of Anthropic’s standout features-can now be used remotely. That said, it is still a research preview, which indicates Claude Dispatch still needs further refinement.
Requirements and availability
On top of that, this new Claude capability is not available on the free tier. To use it, you will need a Claude Pro or Claude Max subscription.
