DIO, a technology education platform, together with IBM, has announced 5,000 free places for the IBM Bob Bootcamp: Enterprise-Grade AI for Developers.
This is the first joint initiative by the two organisations in Brazil and is aimed at helping software professionals already in the market to embed agentic AI agents directly into their day-to-day workflows.
Registration is now open and can be completed online via the DIO website. The course is designed for technology professionals, particularly those working on modernising legacy systems and highly complex enterprise ecosystems.
AI applied to the software development lifecycle
The training is built around IBM Bob, IBM’s recently launched AI-first development platform. Designed to support the full development process end to end, the tool automates critical stages such as planning, code writing, testing and reviews, while also providing layers of governance and security.
Within IBM itself, the technology has already been used by more than 102,000 employees, delivering an average productivity gain of 45% across development tasks.
During the bootcamp, participants will receive access to the tool’s free trial period and will work with advanced capabilities including the Plan, Agent and Ask modes, as well as Subagents, Bob Shell, MCP and Bobalytics.
How the free programme is structured
- 6 recorded courses focused on the platform’s features.
- 3 interactive live sessions with industry specialists.
- 1 hands-on project challenge with a real-world application.
“Development teams are under pressure to deliver more with leaner teams. We chose a topic at the centre of this challenge: AI agents applied across the entire software lifecycle. We hope to prepare thousands of professionals who can operate AI agents with governance and leave with a real project for their portfolios,” says Iglá Generoso, founder and CEO of DIO.
Practical portfolio and market connection
As a completion requirement, learners must submit a practical project on GitHub including documentation of architecture decisions, the prompts used, points where human intervention occurred, and metrics extracted from Bobalytics. Beyond a stronger portfolio, graduates also gain visibility on Talent Match, the platform where DIO’s partner recruiters search for qualified talent.
For Fabrício Lira, IBM Brazil’s Director of AI and Data, technological progress calls for a strategic approach that goes beyond immediate speed gains:
“The AI is transforming how software is developed, but the differentiator for companies is adopting these technologies with security, governance and scalability. With IBM Bob, we aim to support developers at every stage, boosting productivity without compromising quality and human oversight.”
