Russia reports 209 Ukrainian drones shot down
Russian authorities claimed on Monday to have brought down more than 200 drones launched by the Ukrainian army.
In a statement posted on social media, Russia’s Ministry of Defence said it had shot down 209 Ukrainian drones over various parts of the country in recent hours, including the Moscow region, as well as over the waters of the Sea of Azov, the Black Sea and the Crimean Peninsula, annexed by Russia in 2014.
Ukraine says it intercepted 82 of 108 Russian drones
Ukraine’s Air Force accused Russian troops of launching 108 drones at the country, stressing that 82 were downed and that there were impacts at 11 locations on Ukrainian territory.
“The attack is continuing and there are numerous drones in the airspace,” the Ukrainian military said, urging the public to “follow the safety guidelines”.
