A Solojet Aviação has expanded its portfolio by becoming an official Garmin dealer, a company recognised worldwide as one of the leading manufacturers of avionics and aircraft technology.

With the agreement in place, Solojet will supply Garmin equipment and solutions to customers across Brazil, offering specialist support in the Matopiba region through its base in Luís Eduardo Magalhães (Bahia).

The new representation reinforces Solojet’s strategy of bringing complete business aviation solutions together within a single company, adding a globally respected brand to its maintenance operation.

Matopiba and demand for business aviation

Matopiba-made up of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia-is one of Brazil’s fastest-growing economic regions, driven by agribusiness and the increasing use of business aviation to support the mobility of producers and entrepreneurs.

From its base in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Solojet makes access to state-of-the-art onboard technologies easier, removing the need for customers to rely on distant centres for purchase, installation and ongoing support.

Garmin avionics and retrofit options available

Among the Garmin equipment now available are autopilots from the GFC 500, GFC 600 and GFC 700 families; integrated navigation systems including the GTN 650Xi and GTN 750Xi; panel retrofit solutions such as the G500 TXi, G600 TXi and G5000; as well as ADS-B equipment for a range of business jets and turboprops. The portfolio supports aircraft from the King Air, Citation, Beechcraft and Cessna families, all approved for the Brazilian market.

Garmin innovation in aeronautical technology

Garmin is known for innovation in aeronautical technology, developing solutions for general aviation, business aviation, helicopters, advanced air mobility, commercial aviation, and government and defence operations. One of its innovations is Garmin Autoland, the first certified autonomous system capable of full emergency control and landing, which received the prestigious Robert J. Collier Trophy.

With more than 23,000 employees across 37 countries, Garmin also operates in the automotive, marine, outdoor and fitness markets, with innovation positioned as a global pillar.

Solojet also represents the brands Raisbeck Engineering, Blackhawk Modifications and Tamarack in Brazil, all of which specialise in performance upgrades for aircraft.
