Honor has just unveiled its new headline mid-range smartphone, the Honor 600. The first thing that stands out is a design that looks strikingly like a certain American handset.
Honor 600 design inspired by the iPhone 17 Pro
For Honor, the mid-range category is a key battleground, and the Honor 600 is the brand’s latest addition. The device is intended to win people over on its hardware, while also leaning heavily on AI to boost its photography credentials.
The other major selling point is the look. Let’s address it straight away: yes, the Honor 600 adopts a visual identity that is (very) close to an iPhone 17 Pro, notably thanks to its oversized camera module. The resemblance even extends to the colour options, with orange pushed as the hero shade (it is also available in white and black). Honor is making no secret of the inspiration.
On the rear, the Honor 600 uses a plastic back (more tactfully described as “composite fibre”), paired with a metal frame. We were able to handle it, and it feels genuinely comfortable in the hand. The fit and finish do not quite match the Cupertino model, but the Honor 600 still comes across as a well-executed device. One important detail: it is certified IP68 (water and dust), IP69K (high-pressure jets), and it also includes an extra AI button-something that has become familiar on the manufacturer’s phones.
Honor 600 technical specifications
On the technical side, Honor is aiming for a robust package. The Honor 600 features a 6.57-inch OLED panel with a maximum brightness of 8000 nits (HDR peak) and 0.98 mm bezels. Power comes from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, a strong option for the price point, along with a 6400 mAh battery that should comfortably deliver two days of use. There is also 80 W fast charging.
Honor is particularly keen to stand out on photography. The Honor 600 comes with two rear sensors: a 200-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide. We are promised high-quality shots, especially in Night mode-something that will, of course, need to be confirmed in our full review.

A smartphone that leans on AI
Where the product gets more distinctive is in how Honor applies AI to photo and video. The brand uses Veo 2 to animate still images via a voice command. Got two photos? You can merge them and generate a video lasting 4, 6 or 8 seconds, complete with sound. For instance, you could take two people photographed separately and have them hug in a short clip. It is entertaining, although it remains to be seen how often people will genuinely use it.
Honor says it will apply certain restrictions, particularly around nudity, and that users will be able to create 10 videos per day. Beyond that, a subscription will be required. Other features-such as collages or removing an element-will also be available within the photo and video editing tools.
The Honor 600 runs Android 16 with the Magic OS 10 skin. The manufacturer is promising 6 OS updates and 6 years of security updates.
The Honor 600 will be available from 23 April 2026. We will, of course, be testing it when it launches.
