The PlayStation 5 Slim hardly ever goes on sale. This time, AliExpress is undercutting the usual price as part of its big anniversary event, making it a great opportunity to save on one of the best living-room consoles.
From 16 to 25 March, AliExpress is running a series of standout deals for its 16th anniversary, and the PS5 Slim is featured in both of its versions.

Starting Sunday night at midnight, Sony’s console is listed at €432 instead of €549 for the Standard version by using the code FRAS60 or ASFR60. And if you pay via PayPal, you get an extra €33 off, bringing the price down to €399.
Because the PlayStation 5 rarely receives discounts-and when it does, stock usually disappears quickly-it’s worth ordering promptly if you want to secure the console for less.

The ultimate living-room console
The PlayStation 5 launched in 2020, but the PlayStation 5 Slim has taken over since November 2023. It keeps the same overall promise while offering a more compact, modular design, and it comes in two editions: one with a built-in Blu-ray disc drive (Standard) and one without (Digital).
Standard vs Digital PS5 Slim: choosing the right edition
If you want to play physical PS5 or PS4 games-or watch Blu-ray films-the Standard edition is the obvious choice. As its name suggests, the PS5 Digital only lets you play digital titles downloaded from the PlayStation Store. That said, you can still buy a disc drive later and fit it to the PS5 Digital edition if you change your mind.
Performance, storage, games and accessories
On the technical side, both editions share the same core specifications. They deliver impressive 4K visuals at 60 FPS, and up to 120 FPS in a handful of games-ideal for enjoying the latest blockbuster releases. The SSD is extremely fast too, keeping loading times almost non-existent.
There is a difference in storage, however. The Standard version offers 1 TB of capacity (848 GB usable), while the Digital version provides 825 GB of storage (667 GB usable).
Another key strength of the PlayStation 5 is its large games library, packed with exclusives. Notable series include Uncharted, Horizon, God of War, and The Last of Us.
Sony’s console also comes with the DualSense controller, known for its comfort and features designed to deepen immersion in your games: haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and 3D audio.
