Xiaomi launches Redmi 15A in India: 120 Hz display from $137

Xiaomi has launched one of its lowest-priced handsets in India, the Redmi 15A. The entry-level model comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and it costs $137.

  • 4 GB / 128 GB - $153
  • 6 GB / 128 GB - $174

Display and cameras on the Redmi 15A

The Redmi 15A uses an IPS panel with an HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 810 cd/m². For photography, it pairs an 8 MP front-facing camera with a 32 MP main camera.

Platform, software and update promise

Powering the device is the Unisoc T8300 SoC. On the software side, it ships with Android 16 and the HyperOS 3.0 interface. Xiaomi says the model will receive four years of system updates and six years of security patches.

Battery, charging and other features

A 6,300 mAh battery supports 15 W wired charging, as well as 7.5 W reverse wired charging. Additional highlights include IP52 dust and splash protection, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Sales begin on 3 April.
