Xiaomi lists the Mijia 186L two-compartment fridge at $125

Xiaomi has unveiled two new fridges under its Mijia label: the two-door, 186-litre Mijia 186L and the three-door, 216-litre Mijia 216L. On JD.com, they are listed at 849 yuan ($125) and 949 yuan ($140) respectively.

Mijia 186L: capacity, drawers and noise level

The Mijia 186L splits its 186-litre capacity between a 129 L fridge compartment and a 57 L freezer. It comes with two lower drawers and five-step electronic temperature control. The unit is rated in the top energy-efficiency class, and its stated noise level is 36 dB(A).

Mijia 216L: three-door layout and “soft” freeze chamber

The 216-litre, three-door model is broadly similar to the smaller fridge, but adds a middle compartment designed for “soft” freezing. Capacity is allocated as follows: 129 L for the fridge section, operating from 2 to 8°C; 30 L for the “soft” freeze zone, running from -7 to 0°C; and 57 L for the freezer, set between -24 and -18°C.

According to Xiaomi, this model also improves the usable-capacity-to-footprint ratio, which is said to have risen by 5.8% versus the previous-generation version.
