ST Engineering’s Digital Systems division has secured new anti-drone deployments across Asia, outside Singapore, in recent months. The wins point to rising demand for effective Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) solutions as defence and security agencies strengthen protection against an evolving drone threat.

New deployments across Asia (outside Singapore)

The latest deployments cover both defence and critical infrastructure use cases, highlighting the flexibility, operational maturity and proven effectiveness of ST Engineering’s anti-drone capability across different mission needs. These include one air-defence deployment, as well as another programme to safeguard multiple critical infrastructure sites from drone threats.

Layered C-UAS architecture and modular design

Built around a layered defence architecture, ST Engineering’s anti-drone solution brings together advanced sensors, AI-enabled command and control (Artificial Intelligence), and both soft-kill and hard-kill effectors to detect, track, identify and neutralise drone threats. Its modular design supports deployment for defence missions, public security operations and the protection of critical infrastructure.

Leadership comment and operational validation

Low Jin Phang, Chief Operating Officer for Defence and Public Security at ST Engineering and President of Digital Systems, said: “Anti-drone capabilities have become an increasingly important part of modern defence and security operations. These deployments underscore the growing demand for integrated solutions against evolving drone threats and validate our ability to deliver operationally proven anti-drone capabilities.”

Developed through extensive testing and operational validation, ST Engineering’s anti-drone capability draws on the Group’s expertise in sensors, communications, AI and mission systems to provide integrated protection against a wide range of drone threats.
