Getting from A to B is the car’s purpose. It is a machine of such importance to humankind that it has reshaped the planet’s landscape and created routes where there once seemed to be only obstacles.

Whatever the destination, the car has established itself as the safest form of individual transport. Yet the on-board experience has continued to evolve, driven above all by technology.

1 – Digital Instrument Cluster

Is there anything wrong with an analogue dashboard? Not at all. However, an instrument cluster that says goodbye to the “old needles” and replaces them with a 100% digital, high-resolution 10.25-inch screen brings a host of possibilities.

It can be configured with several display modes, allowing you to keep the information you need most during a journey in clear view. Everything can be controlled using the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel.

Without taking your hands off the wheel, and within your line of sight, you can see who is calling your smartphone, reply to a written message using voice commands, or even check the map to make sure you have not lost your way.

2 – Full Link

There is a strong chance that you are among the more than 80% of readers of our website who will read this sentence on a smartphone.

Like the car, the smartphone has taken on an important role in our lives. It does far more than make calls or send messages: it is a work and leisure companion, and we do not leave home without it.

With Full Link, you can connect your smartphone to the car and integrate it with the infotainment system screen in the new SEAT Leon, available in 8.25-inch or 10-inch versions. It is an excellent way to use the interface and apps that are part of everyday life in your car as well.

This integration is available with a smartphone running iOS (Apple CarPlay) or Android (Android Auto).

3 – Use your smartphone to unlock the car (and more…)

“Why unlock the car with a smartphone when I have the key fob?” Fair enough, but this technology offers additional benefits because it is included in the SEAT Connect App.

In addition to unlocking and locking the car, the SEAT Connect App lets you check its location, see whether you left the lights on, sound the horn or switch on the lights to find it more easily in a car park. You can even receive alerts if a possible break-in is detected, provided the car is fitted with an alarm.

A cold car in winter is not particularly pleasant, especially when it has been left outside overnight. With the SEAT Connect app, you can set your departure time and the cabin temperature (available for the SEAT Leon eHybrid).

4 – Voice or gesture control

The new SEAT Leon features next-generation natural voice control, allowing you to speak to the car to activate the navigation, radio and media functions.

That means you do not need to take your attention away from driving to select your favourite radio station or enter a destination into the navigation system.

5 – Adaptive and predictive Cruise Control

A long journey can be demanding. With the technology provided by Adaptive and Predictive Cruise Control, you can set the speed at which you want to travel, while the SEAT Leon adapts to traffic and road conditions to make the system safer to use.

As well as adjusting the distance from the vehicle ahead, it detects cars entering the lane in which it is travelling.

It can also adjust the speed by anticipating changes in the road’s speed limit and reducing it gradually.

6 – Online Services

Always connected, even on the road. There is plenty of useful information online that can be received and accessed to improve a journey behind the wheel. Today, a car can already display and use that information.

Looking for somewhere to park? With online services, it is possible to identify available spaces in the nearest car parks.

More than €5,000 above your car’s value

SEAT currently has an offer that gives you more than €5,000 above the market value of your car when you buy a SEAT Leon.

Book a test drive and experience the most connected, technology-focused generation of the new SEAT Leon.
