The Xiaomi 17T Pro is the brand’s newest flagship handset. It is currently available through an exceptional deal that brings its price well below its launch cost.

Xiaomi 17T Pro Back to School offer

As part of its Back to School promotion, AliExpress has reduced the 256 GB model to below €600, with an even better saving available when you use PayPal. The 256 GB Xiaomi 17T Pro costs €561 rather than €903 when you enter the code DSFR110 or PCFR110. Those who require more storage can get the 512 GB version for €609 instead of €1,003 with the same codes.

As mentioned above, paying for your order in full with PayPal may unlock a further €33 discount, provided the offer is still available. This lowers the price to €528 for the 256 GB model and €576 for the 512 GB version.

Your Xiaomi 17T Pro is dispatched free of charge from within Europe, with delivery expected in a few days. The phone also comes with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty and, if it does not suit you, you have 15 days to return it for an immediate refund. Interest-free payment in four instalments via PayPal is available, although you will forfeit the potential €33 saving.

Why do we recommend this smartphone?

Awarded 7.9/10 in our review, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is firmly positioned as a premium smartphone. Its specification is aimed at people seeking plenty of power without sacrificing battery life. In ergonomic terms, it is quite a substantial device, measuring 162.2 x 77.5 x 8.25 mm and weighing 219 g. If you do not like “large smartphones”, it is best to look elsewhere.

Its display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the device has IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The 6.83-inch AMOLED panel has a 2,772 x 1,280-pixel resolution and supports a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. Brightness can reach 3,500 nits, and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are supported too, delivering excellent image quality with compatible content.

TÜV Rheinland certification is intended to improve viewing comfort, particularly by limiting blue-light emissions. Put simply, whether you are watching films and series on Netflix, gaming or simply browsing, the screen provides smooth performance and good visibility, including when using the phone in direct sunlight. Its photography credentials are equally strong: the triple-camera system was developed with German specialist Leica, renowned for the quality of its lenses.

Xiaomi 17T Pro cameras, battery and performance

The 50 MP main sensor features OIS optical image stabilisation, while the 50 MP Leica periscope telephoto camera delivers 5x optical zoom. A 12 MP ultra-wide camera completes the set-up. The smartphone records video at up to 8K at 30 fps or 4K at 120 fps, which should appeal to amateur videographers and content creators. On the front, the 32 MP selfie camera can also record in 4K.

Battery life is among the 17T Pro’s major strengths. Xiaomi has fitted a 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, with 100 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. The brand claims up to 30.7 hours of video playback and a full recharge in around 48 minutes using a suitable charger. That should be enough to get through a long day without constantly checking the battery percentage. For performance, Xiaomi has selected the 3 nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500, paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a choice of 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

This hardware is suited to demanding apps, gaming and AI features alike. Meanwhile, the 3D IceLoop cooling system helps sustain performance when the handset is under heavy load. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is also well equipped for connectivity, offering 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, eSIM and dual SIM support. There is also an under-display fingerprint reader, along with Xiaomi HyperOS, the Android-based user interface.
